Yeah. We used to do this w/GM shifters. The pivot ball was pressed on and

with enough force (heat & a press), one could slide it down a bit, changing

the lever ratio. Then we tack-welded it in its new position. The amount of

movement wasn't much to make a drastic change in ratio. Never tried it with a

DeTomaso. J DeRyke
