Hah!  I searched high and low for L-model interior pieces for about three

years, before finally stumbling upon a guy in Oregon who had NOS center

console and front console pieces.  They cost me $650 for the pair.  Nobody

else (including vendors) had them.



Sadly, even though there are cheap repro parts available, when a customer

goes to a vendor to get a leather interior made, they usually utilize his

rare and desirable stock interior pieces as the foundation, instead of

preserving them for folks like us and using the inexpensive knock-off pieces.



Your options seem to be limited; you can continue your search, or suck it up

and have your interior upholstered in leather.  One possibility; you can

contact the vendors and issue a standing offer to purchase the next NICE

center console they encounter.  Then, when a customer rolls in the door to

have his L-model interior covered in leather, they'll pull his center piece

and sell it to you, and install a leather-covered reproduction piece in his

car.  Everyone is happy, and the vendor makes more money! :>)
