If you're planning on seeing REAL BIG NUMBERS on your speedometer, sure. The half-shafts are just driveshafts, really, so any shop that balances driveshafts should be able to do it. I wouldn't just guess on the wt. if I were going to do it myself, though. Seems like 2 oz is a bunch (the Z-28's driveshaft has a single 1" steel washer welded to the tube for balance). And if you've ever changed the Hooke-type u-joints our cars were delivered with, be aware that they should be "indexed" in pairs, as they were when stock, to mimimize their effect on balance. Otherwise, you can get a pulsing that can often be felt at high speeds. J DeRyke ==============================================================================
