The Pantera uses a second >crush segment? A '71. THPNLY01661. It used to have a Capri steering wheel, but I replaced it with a 12" LeCarra unit. I sure don't see any 'corrugated standoff'..... There's just a telescoping section of steering column. Sort of a rectangular cross section with two sides rounded about a foot long. The female end is connected to the Ujoint under the car and the male end is connected to the Ujoint under the dash. Previously, that area had some slack in it and you could turn the steering wheel slightly before the rack actually started moving. Now, for sure, the Longchamp has a corrugated area. But the steering column for it comes from a Granada. BTW, I measured the shift lever height. The top of the knob is 4" above the gate when it's in neutral.
