Capt Mike Drew 150 Westgate Dr. San Francisco, CA 94127 Home: (415) 334-7860 E-mail: MikeLDrew@aol.com All, Just returned from a three-day Nor-Cal Shelby convention, with almost 300 people turning out for two days of open track, and car shows, etc. etc. More on the events there later (several Panteras present.) Dennis Gage, the host of the television show "My Classic Car" on TNN was there with his crew, shooting the event which will be featured in the new season, coming out in January or early February. Check it out, you might catch a glimpse of Rick Carlile's Pantera at speed on the track. The exciting thing is, Dennis is a Pantera NUT. He doesn't know much about them, but is strongly considering purchasing one (either that, or a '50's Lead Sled cruiser, he's undecided right now!) Anyway, I immediately proselytized him up one side and down the other. I mentioned to him that POCA would be celebrating its 25th anniversary in Las Vegas next year, with over 800 people expected to show up (along with a stack of DeTomasos) and gave him a basic rundown of the event (track event, Mt. Charleston run, Fremont St., etc. etc.) Anyway, Dennis was really psyched, and said that HE WOULD BE THERE with his camera crew, to shoot the event for TNN! I'm mailing him a full POCA propaganda package tomorrow, including a copy of the last Profiles that covered Las Vegas (this year's event is in the copy that's being mailed to you THIS week!) So be there yourselves! Mike ==============================================================================
