Well I officially pronounce my clutch M/C and S/C transplant a success. The only snag I had was a leak caused by a bad fitting. Cory from Collectors Choice overnighted me the fitting, I hooked it up, no leaks, I think it is even adjusted correctly and everything. Not bad, what should have taken about 3 hours took....4 days, but it is done. Now to get the half gallon of brake fluid off my garage floor. When I found out how much that little fitting cost, I decided that I want to compile a list of the top 10 Pantera Parts that are absurdly priced. This fitting is nothing complicated, looks like a $1.25 part at the local hardware store, except the only thing it fits in the whole universe is a Pantera Slave Cylinder. Therefore it costs $39, and Cory gave it to me at cost! And just to make sure Cory wasn't screwing me, I looked up the part on PPC's web page and they want $68! A little fitting with one size thread on one side, a different size threads on the other. But is came with the DeTomaso seal still in place on the little baggie. Any nominations for absurdly priced parts (ZF stuff made in Texas?) that have pennies worth of material but go for a lot more? Charlie McCall 1972 Pantera Pre-L #3874
