From: Andy Poling <andy@realbig.com> Subject: side marker light replacements? Date: Sun, 5 Oct 1997 21:25:28 +0000
> How'bout 40 dollars plus tax for a USED amber side marker off a Capri? A > dollar a piece in the junkyard? This reminds me... My left rear side marker light bulb socket on my '72 pre-L has failed. The bulb and wire keep falling out and dangling against the muffler. The little doobies that lock the socket into the light housing when you twist are gone. My mechanic said he tried, but couldn't get a replacement socket. Anybody have a cross-reference for this part? We could always glue it in or something, but replacing it should be cheap and is the "right thing" to do". Would also make changing the bulb easier down the road... Thanx! -Andy PS - This first happened at Pocono - I musta really been pullin' some G's on the banking, huh? :-) powerful/fast: quick: other: 72 Pantera - Rocky 91 Miata - Steve (bionic) 96 A4Q - Rudolf 82 928 - Phantom 97 Miata - Nadia 84 RZ350 - Sting
