Sadly, all I could do was to watch his taillights fade into in the distance. The End. :-( AND MY WIFE SLEPT THROUGH THE WHOLE DAMN THING!!!! Cool story, huh? Wait til I tell all my friends!!! -------------------------------------------------------- You think that was something, A bit after leaving the rest of the group behind at the Outlet Mall, Mad Dog (ITBEWILD), John Parsons and I had a blast, In a group of cars I lost Dennis, now I know John had pulled away but I wasn't sure if Mad Dog had pulled ahead or was still tangled with the other cars. So, after hitting a long open straight I floored it and got up to 160mph, and still no sign of Dennis! I slowed to about 140 and went into a wide sweeper, when out of nowthere there he is!!! I was still going just over 140 and Dennis, who must have been going at least 120, and WHAM!!! we hit... I counldn't believe it. I was moving up out of the turn and Dennis was move down and the distance closed so fast there just wasn't enough time to do anything about it! mAd DoG was going the wrong way! We hit head on. The combined speed of the impact left parts flying everywhere! My car went spinning about 10 times and I slid off into the grass while what was left of Mad Dog's car went into the wall. We both just feel on the floor laughing! Virtually unscathed. Then there comes John. Wham... wham... he hit both of our cars at around 140. Ok, yes, that was on the simulator (duh), fun yes, but not as fun as the real Pantera hwy driving! It was great, comming off the 91 east to the 15 south on the wide turn you could see all 13 Panteras in our group in a row. What a sight, we drew the typical amount of attention from the other traffic. At one point we were all in the center lane and I could see all the cars in a row with no one in between and no cars in the fast lane for the whole line, I thought of Jacks comment about the echelon lane change. But had no way of letting everyone know. Oh, well maybe next time. After getting back to the Outlet from the virtual racing, as I was about to pull out of the parking lot. WHAM!!! Ok, this time I mean it! No, really I'm not kidding. The guy in the Pantera behind me had his foot slip off the brake and ... (sniff). They mated! Yes, our kitties are no longer virgins. Well, his car humped right up to my exhaust pipes. Being an early Pre-L his car it didn't have any bumpers. Alright, it has bumpers but you know what I mean. Anyway, it hit right above his bumper-ettes in front of the head- lights and left two round indents pushed in about 2 inches. Not good! We were able to pry open his lights, and it didn't get the hood! My car from what we can tell only (ha, :~( only) suffered bent tips on the exhaust. Oh, and my neck is hurting! ;~) Curt T. 1TO9 MPG, All this fun and we hadn't even a drop of wine yet!
