Shane, I'm not a racer, but I do have harnesses in my Pantera. 6 months ago I switched over from Simpson 4-points to Schroth 4-points. The reason I chose the Schroth is that they are the ONLY harnessbelt in America that's STREET-LEGAL! (or so they say). In my area (Orange County, CA) the cops WILL pull you over if they suspect you are using non-certified harnesses on the street. The reason they meet American standard FMVSS 209 for use on public roads is that they have an ASM (anti-sub-marining) device in one of the shoulder straps. The Schroth belts come in 3-point and 4-point with a lap buckle and red pushbutton, or 5 & 6-point with a rotary-cam lap buckle. All the models have the ASM device. I don't think ANY camlock belt is legal for road use (including their's) because the Feds want you to have the pushbutton buckle in case they have to peel you out of the car after a crash. If you want to reach them, their number is (800) 884-BELT. So far, mine are working out great.
