It is only a TEMPORARY engine so I can enjoy the car yet this fall before it comes apart for the clean up in preperation for Vegas. During the rebuild I: 1. Used the old cam and lifters. 2. did not do a valve job and reused the old valves with multi groove keepers. 3. Used the origional valve springs. 4. Did not boil the block or heads. 5. did not change pistons. 6. Did not change rod bolts. 7. Used a crank that could of been bent without checking it. 8. reused old cam bearings from another engine. 9. Used old oil pump 10. used burnt pressure plate and mildly worn clutch. 11. Did not balance crank with the different rods. 12 Just mildly deglazed the cylinders and did not bore them. Therefor I need to take it easy with this engine. And any way, I always take it easy for the first 1000 miles or so on a new engine. As for Silver State, I will probably never have an engine I feel comfortable enough to drive that hard for that long. I would have to build a complete SVO motor to do that and I cant afford one of those. As for Vegas next year, I am building a completely new engine for that. The turbos will be back on with a few other custom items. And dont say that this motor will cost more than an SVO motor, because all of the custom stuff I do myself and save loads of money.
