To All: I am finishing up work on my hydrolic clutch. I had the slave blow out during the Monterey Ca. event. I got it home (80 miles), evaluated the slave, quite rusty and leaked, and ordered a new (polished) one. It was moderately easy to replace, one suggestion is to use new retaining clips that hold it in the bracket. I was done (or so I thought) then, at first use, it popped out of the bracket, due to the failure of an old retaining clip. Next, I could not get the lever to actuate, it turns out that the current master when depressed, caused the fluid to back flow into the reservoir. Next, I got a "rebuild kit" from Pantera Parts Connection. One thing I would add to the TSB on removing the master is that the rod is threaded. So once you unbolt the master from the bulkhead, then unscrew the rod from the linkage. Most cars are like this, but I expected an "exotic" to require that the linkage be disassembled. Tonight I'll reassemble the master, replacing the two rubber seals, then re-install, bleed (my knuckles too!). If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate it. I know the adjustment at the slave is ~critical, and have the TSB on this. Thanx, Chuck #4580
