Question - I relcated the temp sending unit from the pressure tank to the block and notice a 40-50 degree difference. The gauge reads hotter in the block. Do you think that having the tanks "hanging out there" could really cause them to be that much cooler? When my temp gauge quit I borrowed a magnetic external temperature dial, I attached it to the outside of the pressure tank so that I could at least get some idea of what temps are when I stop. This gauge basically agreed with what the temp reading was on the pressure tank, so I am inclined to believe the gauge was working fine when it was there. Have other people noticed a change in readings when they moved their sender? If everything is working fine, I would like to add a resistor in-line to drop the reading down. Right now it is far enough to the right so it won't take a lot to pin it. I'd rather have a litte more "top end" to my gauge, so I know HOW hot it is getting. What should the resistance be in the line as it came from the factory? What should the resistance be if it already has a resistor installed in-line? What is the most common location for installing one? Thanks Charlie McCall 1972 Pantera Pre-L #3874
