For those interested in a Pantera.... I went to the local Shelby meet last Saturday (where my son fell in love with a beautiful yellow 1970 Boss 302... Even got a ride in it!) and met an older genteleman there who had a blue Shelby GT350 for sale. Wanted $27,500 for it. But while we were talking, he asked me what I had and when I told him the Pantera, he immediately started talking about the 1972 that he had here in Houston. He hasn't driven it in years, but says he's had it since new. He says he wants to 'get out of the car business'. I asked him what he'd take for it 'as is' and he was thoughtful for a moment and said, 'Oh, probably $20K. But I'd really like to get it running and things and ask for $25K or so...' Sounds like he'd do a deal to me. I've got his card and home phone number. Now, I haven't seen the car, don't know the mileage, don't even know what color it is! But I plan to go check it out for the fun of it. I'll call him today if I can get ahold of him and I'll report back later; hopefully this weekend if I can get the time and work around the club meeting on Saturday...
