I've solved my clutch system problem. Thanx to the PCNC Tech session. The solution was found after comparing to a "spare" that Jack DeRyke brought. In his unit, there was a nylon plug at the front end of the master cylinder, that holds the end of the spring. (much like a pistol recoil spring plug) In my unit, there was no plug.....The unit had been rebuilt by the previous owner, with the "I'm done, spare parts ? No problem !" technique. What was also required (interesting enough) is the piston (with new rubber seals) needed "Brake Assembly Lube". I had not heard of this, and always figured that brake fluid was slick enough....Live and learn. ----- I want to thank everyone at the PCNC tech session for all their help and support. Brian for his trailer, Steve for all his time and effort, and Roger for his house, tools and such. Now I have a new top item on my "to do" list, but at least I can drive ! Also I'd like to thank the respondents here on this tech (and bull) list. I've unloaded the shotgun (for now). Chuck #4580
