For example, the Vintage Triumph Register has two chapters per year host two national conventions, one on the East Coast, one on the West Coast. Many other car clubs do just the same. The hosting chapters are usually given 3 years advance notice, and they elect officers to oversee the event. Sure, its hard work, and may even be more expensive than the gambling-underwritten rates charged in Vegas, but Pantera owners are not exactly struggling financially. Mad Dog suggested a change of venue might be possible for 1999. Perhaps that is a little premature. Based on the 3-year advanced warning required for a hosting chapter, the year 2000 would be apropos for a new convention site. Sound like it is time to shake up the Board of Directors.
