Anyway, living near the alien planet of Virginia myself, I have a number of buddies that live there. They report that the new detectors, with VG-2 detection do in fact defy detection (especially the BEL 945i). What most VG-2-proof detectors do when they pick up VG-2 is essentially shut down until it goes away. This way, there's nothing for the extortionist ^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hcop, to detect. Being a rebel myself, I don't even take down my detector when I cross the VA state line. Haven't gotten busted yet, and haven't gotten a VG-2 alert. I guess that just means they don't have to many of the VG-2 units. Maybe it's time to get a new detector if you're going to venture into places where they're banned?... --------------------------------- I got a new detector a few months back. And I've taken it down a couple thousand miles worth of radar scanned roads here in California. So far it has never gone off. I mean by a radar signal, it's done it's share of false signal alarms. To clarify I've seen patrol cars but they just were not using the radar! What I'd like to hear from some of the ones that use them is how often in your area do you get a good warning, and then were able to slow, and you then see the cop? Often? or am I just getting missing all the traps? I did have it go off once on a radar, one of those signs on the side of the road telling you your speed (no photo)! Curt T. 1TO9 MPG
