Only thing to be careful of is that sometimes the switches get sort of stuck in the dash plate. If you've got a late-style dash, that plate is made of SUPER-cheesy plastic, and it would be easy to break it trying to get the old switches out. When I replaced my switches back in '89, I had no adult supervision, and thus did it the easy way. I pulled out each switch one at a time (careful not to pull too hard so a wire or wires fall off) and then held the old and new switches in my hand. Removed one wire at a time off the old switch, installed in the corresponding position on the new switch. Then TESTED to make sure it worked before installing and moving on to the next one. Also, disconnect the battery before futzing around like this. The pink (power) wire is hot even with ignition off. If you happen to drop the (live) pink wire onto your shift gate, it will make a mondo spark and burn a big zizz into the chrome. Do not ask me how I know this. :>) Mike ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
