I have run 6 quarts of oil in my Pantera for years now with no problems.  I

remember reading that Ford had a technical bulletin about the 351 Boss motors

(they were the solid lifter version of the cleveland motors in 1971).  They

recommended using 6 quarts of oil in the motors.
