Actually, I had a thought.  A few months ago I saw a beautiful, 

literally new '86 GT5-S for sale in England.  It's actually a U.S. spec 

car (well, it's got the bumpers and reflectors) sold in Switzerland but 

never registered.  It's got about 4K miles on it now I think.  Guy paid 

30,000 lbs (or about $47,000) for it.  If you bought this rig, you MIGHT 

be able to bring it back to the U.S. since it was built to U.S. specs 

originally (except for the catalytic converters, which would be an easy 

retrofit.)



Phil Stebbings will have all the info for you.



Come to think of it, Phil has an awesome red '84 (?) GT5 for sale, I 

think it's left hand drive as well.  It's got a ridiculously powerful 

yet streetable motor in it.  He's kind of desperate I think; it's been 

for sale for years, and he since purhased a GT5-S so he really needs to 

get rid of the GT5.
