Well to all who care, 

The new list is not a replacement for, but an enhancement to.

 

I feel a list can be run anyway the people that put it together 

want! 



I don't agree however that the list should be limited to certain 

topics only.  Some do, some don't, and I don't.  I feel it's resonable 

that the only limits on a group is that we are here because of 

something in common, DeTomaso cars.  And with this gathering 

of car nuts as in any group event we will talk about a lot of things. 

Even subjects that stray from "DeTomaso tech-tips and questions, 

runs, shows, history, sales, announcements, club events, etc..

Also, the obvious messages from mass mailings selling web crap 

do not belong, ie junk mail from a non-DeTomaso sourse.



We don't have anyone at these events telling us to limit our 

conversations to anything, so why should this group.  Well 

because the people that spent the time and effort to make this 

group happen would like it that way.  And I'll respect that, even 

though I let my opion known to them.  It seems that they want to 

keep it that way.  



So, I'm putting the effort into creating an "extra/bonus" list.  I'm 

hopping all that join are on the DeTomaso list.  And the DeTomaso 

list will continue to serve it's topics as stated above.  As for the second 

list, it has no such limit.  Talk as you want, as you would with any 

group of DeTomaso nuts.  So, for those that do not want the extra 

"noise" don't join.  I'm not trying to replace the old list, just trying to 

keep the fun in it!



I think this can work.  If you have something that fits the DeTomaso 

lists guidelines send your message there, and everyone will get it.  All 

others go to funnysht list.
