>Frank, > I dont know where you get your information from, but they are >untruths. ***are you trying to piss me off or what? The information is based on reading "your" earlier post to the site! Maybe I'm missing something here but ever since your post was aired there is a definate censored deminished air to the communications on the site. If that's what you intended or want then it's okay by me but don't be pissed off when people want to go elsewhere. It's your site and your the administrator. But don't act hurt if people go elsewhere or suggest an alternative to censored communications. You can't have it both ways. There is no censorship on the DeTomaso Forum other than >"self-censorship" which you alone enforce when you decide to hit >the "send" or "delete" keys. ***so what was the need to write your earlier post? You got one guy who wrote a "hear-hear". And even if you had 10 posts of encouragement we have how many people on the site? > > The DeTomaso forum is not a moderated list. No censorship, ever. ***again not true. read your own and this post again. Look at the number of "unsubscribes" to the list. > > If you have been told otherwise, it was by people who misunderstand >technology and the spirit of the Forum. That is unfortunate, and the >spreading of rumours is irresponsible. ***What rumors? What you wrote is irresponsible. How much do you weight again? > > I think it is great that Curt has started his own list. The internet >is a free medium to do whatever one wants. However I do ask certain >principles of contributors to this forum for many reasons. One reason is >that all posts are archived at a web site and are available to anyone >who want to read them. Anyone. Would you want your spouse to read >the forum's posts? ***Actually she could care less. she's not into De Tomaso cars. I am though and I want and encourage an environment at work and at home where folks don't have to walk on egg shells. Where folks can disagree and argue and debate and contribute. How about your next boss? ***My next boss could be Mad Dog! I'm serious. . .We're in the same business and I've never known Mad Dog to define what folks could say or not say. In the past Mad Dog worked for me! What do you think Mad Dog would have done if I had defined (like you did) what he can say, do, act? He would have shut down just like many people have done in the last couple weeks. Again you can't have it both ways shane. Just one of the reasons to >keep posts clean, non-libellous ***I totally agree. We don't need insulting one's PERSONAL beliefs. I would hope though that we can disagree. That we can debate positions and police ourselves. That's why I always enjoyed Mad Dog's perspective (twisted as it may be) on issues. We "need" to hear the dissenting opinion. And I don't like the idea that we're gonna tell Mad Dog, Curt, Mike, Bo bo or anyone else what they can say or can't say or SHOULD say. don't want to see what anyone writes. Hit the DELETE key. We're adults and we all have something in common. Our love of De Tomaso vehicles. >Always ask yourself this >question before submitting a post; "Would I stand in front of a person >say this to them in front of 200 other people?" ***I already am aren't I? If I have to add litle "smiley's" to my post or watch what I say because it's NOT a De Tomaso related subject then I will unsubscribe. But don't tell me I misunderstand the spirit of the forum. > >This Forum was formed to support DeTomaso enthusiasts everywhere, >and their appreciation of one of the finest automobiles ever built. This >is the Forum's only goal. ***Then welcome Curt back aboard. Encourage Jack, Mad Dog, Bo Bo, Andy, david, Dan, Dave A., Dave W., Gary and others to contribute again. Let's not STOP talking to one another. Let's not stop contributing and let's move on. Otherwise this site is gonna be pretty boring. How many posts to you want to read about that only address pure tech issues. Let's just stop ALL the social functions of the group then. Actually I am pissed off now. And as Curt suggested you don't want to piss big guys like me off when your just a little skinny guy like you...Okay, I'm kidding. there's my :-) smiley! But I am serious about everything else I've written here today. Frank Z ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
