I'd appreciate any advice from folks who've installed fire supression systems in their Panteras. >>>Hall Pantera had a great deal going on fire suppression systems. $280 complete, for a Halon system. After Halon was discontinued, I phoned them and asked, "You still selling HALON systems, not some other chemical of dubious effectiveness?" They said, "Yup, got a bunch of 'em left." So I ordered one, it was shipped to Vermont and installed on my car. It's a real do-it-yourself kit, which is fine by me. Everything appeared to be nice and sano. Years later, I finally got the car, lifted the hood, and discovered that the 'Halon' system was instead an "Agent X" system. Suckers lied straight through their teeth to me. No idea how effective this other chemical is going to be (don't remember the name offhand, the car's not here with me) and I hope I never have to find out! As an aside, I've seen them employed on a Pantera that grenaded an engine at Sears Point-Charlie Puckett's car would have burned to a cinder were it not for this system. With the gas tank inches from the engine/headers? I'm a beliver, Halon or no. Outfits like Summit Racing offer do-it-yourself kits, but Hall's system was less expensive at the time, might still be (nobody offers Halon anymore, sadly.) Mike
