However, I did manage to talk with Kent and Sandy Synder on the Monday following the event last year. My work travels took me to Vegas 4 days too late. Talking with Kent, he mentioned there were plenty of cars for sale, many of which were NOT at the show or owned by POCA or PI members. It seems the POCA convention is fairly well known and perhaps I won't find a car AT the convention, but may find out ABOUT one while there. Besides, it's the better place to look in my opinion, simply because there will be people like you, Mike, Dennis, Jack etc, that will be able to point out the "right" things to look for and help me from really screwing myself. Yes, it may not be the right place to buy, yes the prices may be slightly inflated, but I have to think, if it's there, and owned by a POCA member, and I have POCA fellowship look it over, it's probably worth a few extra bucks. Then again, I could end up buying an inexpensive deal in the paper, or Hemmings, only to end up with a lifelong project and never drive it. (no insult intended Mike). I've said before, I want to get in and drive. A little work here and there isn't bad. I also don't mean to say I can't find a deal in Hemmings or the Auto Trader, I just haven't found the right deal "yet". Best of all, I'm in NO hurry right now. In 12 months, I probably will be, considering I'm foaming at the mouth already. Asa Jay
