I bought a GT3 racing pan from the DT factory. It was one of the last ones in storage, and it looked really handmade. It seemed to be a Ford pan, cut out, and welded in, an extension of the deep part. The deep part has a squared baffle at the back end of the pan, and the front part of the baffle has a swing-door enabling the oil to go in at acceleration but not out when braking. The pump pickup is a bigger size one than std hanging on to an extended pipe. A crank scraper of, what to me looked like, brass was also included in the set. The pan has two oil release bolts, a bigger at the side and a smaller at the front of the pan. The welding-job is not really professional, but maybe raceworthy. The set seems to work anyhow, as I drow my GT5 to and back from Italy last year at hight speeds, braking and accelerating on the German autobahn (highway), total distance around 3100 miles. A good welder should be able to manufacture a similar pan. regards, Bo 84GT5 bo.grims@swipnet.se bo84gt5@yahoo.com JDeRyke wrote: > > I did a tech-talk thing several years back on 351C pans for Nor-Cal.
