For those of you who get a kick out of the period material on the Pantera, a

buddy of mine recently came upon a scan of one of the original ads and sent

I just *love* the line about "an ingenius system to prevent you from

inadvertently selecting the wrong gear while shifting".  I guess that would

be the chrome shift gate...
