Browsing through my Jan 98 issue of Mustang & Fords and saw a picture of a '71 Pantera found by Guy Ramsey (anyone know him?) in the local Trader Magazine...Here's the rest of the story and you know there's still something missing... The price was $6000. Why was it so cheap? The storyline involves a body shop, a stolen ZF, storage fees of $20 a day exceeding the car's value, the owner giving up the car, the new owner buying it for restoration, and so forth. Guy wanted the car, but after two weeks of trying to come up with the six grand , he offered the owner a '72 Mustang Sprint with 50,000 miles and in perfect condition. The Pantera owner said no until he saw the car. The made an even swap. Guy figures that in a Pantera, he has an exotic sports car that, for his investment, is a rare find indeed...We agree (Mustang & Fords). >> This is amazing! That is the second Pantera that I know of that was involved in a trade with a 1972 Mustang Sprint! The first was my car. That's how I got it! I had a 16,000 mile completely unrestored sprint (the only red, white & blue mustang ever built) and I swapped it straight across for my latest '71 Pantera. It was the best trade I have ever made in my life! Those Sprint Mustangs must really be going up in value though! Jim Demick
