NOTE: SCARY ENGINEERING TERMS FOLLOW! Delete if you're a technophobe. Spherical bearings are simply the inner section of what's inside a rod end. It is a bushing ass'y that tolerates maybe 20 degrees of misalignment. The swaybars swing straight up & down but the a-arms they push against swing sideways relative to the bars, so you need either compliant rubber/urethane bushings to accomodate the large misalignments, or a spherical bearing at each a-arm end of the bars. Our swaybars are simple bent bar stock so the ends may not be round enough to accept spherical bearings directly, requiring a holder. Since you need some kind of holder for the bearing, sometimes they are made so you can adjust bar preload, too. Handy if you have a 'slightly' tweeked chassis... J DeRyke
