Ted, Just FYI, the Ford parts book for Panteras shows no less than FOUR different pistons for various Clevelands ('71 4V and CJ used D0AZ 6108-A, then '71 Boss used D1ZZ, '72 Boss used D2ZZ and '73 4V used D3ZZ) not including overbore pistons! I think the Boss pistons were pop-ups, and were probably not used in Panteras. Just a guess. Also, three different cylinder heads for '71/72 are listed; 4V, CJ, and Boss. We know Panteras never came with Boss 351's, thus one can assume they did come initially with 4V (D1AZ 6049-B) and later CJ (D1ZZ 6049-C.) which I presume are different somehow (larger combustion chamber in the CJ head for lowered compression?) Then for 1973 they list only one head, the D3ZZ6049-A, which I presume is the open-chamber head, actually introduced in the middle of '72. There, does that muddy the water even further? :>) Mike
