OK, I checked out the Longchamp tonight. I can't see the sides of the block well enough to view the sides. Big motor mounts, etc. Time to jack it up and crawl underneath. The right side head has big 2's cast into each upper corner. The left side does not. Is this normal? Damn... where's that POCA again? Rummage, rummage, rummage... The Holley intake is most certainly the Street Dominator. Even says so right under the distributor once you move all the wires so you can see.... OK, so the recommendation is a change to the Offy dual plane, right? It's on the to-do list. The Edelbrock carb is a 1406, so 600cfm. Nicely polished and shiny looking, but in need of an external cleanup. The old cast iron 4bbl manifold is the 'spreadbore' type. Is that good? Bad? Or just an info point? I don't plan on using it.... Craig suggested I should swap out the C6 in the Longchamp with an AOD. Interesting idea! Anyone got anymore info on such a swap? Is an AOD a 'dropin' replacement for a C6? Driveshaft length, Ujoints... That'd be too good to be true, if so... Can I just head off to a junkyard, find a Thunderbird Super Coupe and drag the AOD out of it? What other Fords had an AOD in them? Lincolns? Anyway, the Pcar gets fixed first... _then_ the Lcar gets tweaked. ;-) Kirby Kirby Schrader Compuserve: kschrader@compuserve.com kschrader@slb.com '71 Pantera #1661 '90 Thunderbird 35th anniversary special '78 Longchamp GTS #3001 The wife's...
