Just be aware that the star grounding technique (grounding everything at one

place) is used for a reason.  Basically it avoids problems associated with

using the chassis/body as a ground conductor when it's not really an ideal

electrical conductor.  



The resistance introduced by the chassis/body metal can be a problem with

devices that either are sensitive to voltage or noise, or draw alot of

current.



It may not matter for alot of things like running lights, but it might

matter with stuff like electronic ignition, radio/stereo, electronic gauges,

etc...
