I've had a Unilite with just mechanical advance for many years with no problems.  I carry an extra optical pickup just in case, but have never needed it.  Some complain about High RPMS, but my car pulls to 7000 fine.

Thinking of chucking my single point distributor (72L #4313). My first

question is did any Panteras of my era come with a single point distributor as

stock? My second question is does any body have any distributor

recommendations for a street driven car? I am considering replacing the single

point with the Mallory Unilite with vacuum advance. Thanks!
