This is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway.  



As I understand, the typical motor is not very efficient, say around

20% efficiency, in using all the energy in gasoline.  Does a

turbo/super charger, etc., make the motor more efficient?  Is one more

efficient than the other?



Just thought I'd throw a little "gas on the fire" of the turbo vs.

super charger discussion-and learn something too.
