With all this discussion about FPP 4145 and Edelbrock Performer intakes, I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on the older Edelbrock F351-4v intake. It is supposedly a predecessor to the Performers, and I was under the inpression that it was a better intake for the Pantera (higher RPM range) than the later Performers. Anyone know any facts about this intake, or even wild opinions :<). As you may have guessed this is the intake on my P. Craig Cline Oceanside, Ca. It's generally superior to single-plane manifolds everwhere except on top. The single-plane Torker is more of a high-rpm intake. >Additionally, he also reprinted in one of the Pantera Club issues an article featuring several different manifold combinations. While the Performer was strangely absent, the dual plane featured outperformed the single planes in all but the highest RPMs >>>Right. The FPP 4145 we're talking about IS the dual plane manifold which you're referencing. This article is where I learned how awesome it was, outperforming most single-planes on top, and burying them down below. I've heard from our local dyno guy that Performers strangle performance Clevelands starting about 5000 rpm, and they shut down entirely at 5500. But it seems to be the 'standard' intake on Panteras these days. Mike
