NO NO NO NO NO... I found this out days AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR. I've had fantastic brakes on it NOW for 15 years. I'm a true advocate of wearing a seat belt, but you sure as hell can't drive by-the-seat-of-your-pants, if your pants aren't belted in and you have NO BRAKES. I probably had the entire brake system fixed within the first week of MY ownership. I certainly WASN'T going to be driving around with squishy brakes and that bright RED light constantly ON on my dashboard. I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong impression. You might venture to say I tend to brake problems sooner than I get to engine problems, simply because going fast don't mean a rats a** if you can't stop. I'll still remind you not to ride with me if you like, although I'm sure you wouldn't mind it one bit.
