Hi All, Well I took Thomas' suggestion made a new brake switch assembly for my Pantera. Took about 3 hours of work, no big deal. I had the same problem as Thomas, I had to apply too much pressure on the brake pedal before the lights would come on. I gotta believe this is a fairly common problem, and when you got a tailgater on you, it gets real scary! The aluminum pedal assembly plate in the car has two stand-offs with threaded studs on them. Using 3/4" band iron, I bent and shaped a bracket (with a little welding) to pick up these two studs, and formed a mounting surface, right along side the brake pedal arm, for a momentary SPDT roller lever switch. It's a small switch, but it's rated at 10A (overkill, I know). The pedal arm rests right up against the roller on the switch, compressing it, and opening the circuit. A very light touch of the brake pedal, circuit closes, and the lights come on, it's great! Thanks again for the tip Thomas, Bryan S. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
