Between the driver's seat and the door? > Somewhere else? Tom, I would be wary of putting it on the drivers side; should it come loose (for whatever reason) and it gets caught beneath the pedals.... My extinguisher is located in front of the passengets seat. It does not interfere with the passenger. I have it mounted to a rectangle of aluminum plate, about 4"x12" and the plate is bolted to the floor via the seat-slide bolts. The installation is clean, but you are not able to slide the passemger seat forward. At least I did not have to drill any holes in the car. There are probably better locations, but may require you to drill a hole in the car. Shane Ingate in San Diego
