I mounted mine in what I believed to be the most useful location. It is between the drivers seat and the door, in the perfect place to grab as you get out of the car, or after you are out and discover a fire (which we all pray against). It did require drilling a couple of holes in the rear bulkhead cover, and also trimming the seatbelt reel cover (only on later P's). As Cary and Shane pointed out a passenger floor mounting could eliminate the holes, and is likely just as easy to get, as long as you grab it before you get out. Craig Cline Oceanside, Ca. I'm prepping my car for Vegas (actually planning to make it this year) and, if everything is ready mechanically, I'm planning on running the track event. So, since the car hasn't been on a track, I'm adding a fire extinguisher, as the rules require. It's just your regular cylinder with a bracket. What I want to know is this: Where is the best place to mount it? I want it out of the way but accessible, and still allow a passenger some room. I'm intending on leaving it in the car full-time. Where do you people recommend putting it? (Briefly pause for MadDog's amusing comment here.) Flat sideways on the floor in front of the driver's seat? Passenger side of the tunnel? Between the driver's seat and the door? Somewhere else? -tom, not intending to need a fire extinguisher, but... '73 euro GTS #6382
