Your right, if in my opinions I can't say something nice, I shouldn't 

be allowed to say anything at all!  



So here goes the PC Sh_t, 

If it wasn't for the raised quality of the Japanese (I won't say jap since 

someone might interpret it wrong, more PCS) cars the American cars 

may not have improved as much as they have.



Here's an interesting story for you all, most people ask me "why did you 

paint the red flames on the side of your Pantera?".  Well I didn't, they 

came from a fine (PCS) little red Japanese (PCS) car I ran over one day!

It sure seemed as though he steered right towards my forward flank on 

purpose!  And he was yelling, BONSAI!!!  I'm still not sure what a little 

bush has to do with it.



Sorry, don't take it so personally, you have just as much right to praise 

the Japanese as I do to JOKE about 'em.

what's the point in jap bashing?  if you don't like the product, don't buy it.

but fact is, they know a few things about speed.  honda ruled in f1 when they

competed.  mazda won at lemans.  they own most of motorcycle cycle racing.  all

the "buy amurrican" types are lucky that japan has not yet entered nascar.  as

far as economics are concerned, honda is the largest exporter of american-made

vehicles - last time i czeched, they exported more cars from the usa than the

big 3 combined.



i can understand not liking japanese vehicles - it's a personality thing (or

lack thereof).  i've owned a few fun japanese vehicles - 67 datsun 411sss, 67

datsun 1600 roadster, 72 honda cb450 (1st bike), 75 datsun 280z, '83 honda

vf750f  interceptor, '86 toyota mr2, '89 suzuki swift gti.  these were for the

most part, fun vehicles - nothing made by usa companies could touch them, as far

as price/performance/personality goes.  while the typical modern japanese

vehicle is lacking in personality, unfortunately the same can be said for their

american counterparts.  which is why my preferences run more towards european

vehicles - especially italian ones (even if they have been bastardized

w/amurrican engines!  :>)
