I just applied the tape measure to my '72 pre-L. The following measurements
are approximate due to my being only one person (most days) and being unable
to stand at both ends of the tape at once.
The factory listed it as 67 X 167 X 43.4", which works out to 485602.6 cu in
or 281 cu ft
My measurements were 67 x 172 x 42", which works out to 484008 cubic inches,
or 280 cu ft. My greater length can be attributed to the fact that I
measured from the bumperette to the top of the windshield to the tail (which
is pretty inaccurate). My shorter height can be attributed (I guess) to the
spring spacers I don't have.
If you add a foot in every dimension for breathing room, it's 785000 cu in
which works out to about 454 cu ft. I'll bet you can remember that... :-)
