OK...I called Jack Schroll at Mostly Mustangs in Oakland and asked him; the
answer?
The 351C was NOT available until the 1970 -model year-. This being said,
Jack says it was possible to purchase a 351C in calendar year 1969 when the
'70 "model" year started. It is also possible to purchase a 351C that was
cast in 1969 FOR the 70 model year.
Any Mach1 with a 351C in it has either been re-engined, is 70 or later or
is someone mistaking a Windsor for a Cleveland.
