IF I was in your position, I'd start with cranking the motor with no hot-lead
to the distributor until I saw the oil pressure gauge twitch. Then, I'd
reconnect the hot leads, and maybe use some Quick-Start (ether) to get the
crank spinning to re-prime the fuel pump faster. I'd also have someone
watching back behind, for fuel, oil and water leaks after the poor thing
finally lit off. Gaskets dry out and shrink with no fuel or oil on them. Good
