1.   I had a conference call with the SS Tire Tech Inspector and the
Race Director tonight.  Their biggest concern still centers on the tires
load carrying capacity of guys running 17" wheels and tires. . . I
finally have gotten them to understand that Pantera's isn't a front
engine vehicle <grin> and they have agreed "in concept anyway", to
approving 17" ZR rated tires that have a +-load carrying capacity of
1320-1340 pounds.

2.   Irregardless of whether your running 15 to 17" wheels and tires I
"still" need each of you to call me or E-mail what tire & wheel
combination your going to use and what speed class you plan to run. This
should resolve any subjective interuptations from Tech. and minimize any
reoccurance of what happened to Bob Wood in the Sept 97 race. If I don't
hear from you by tomorrow I will contact you by phone.
