i'm really sick about what happened to d-mann - especially, since to me, this
was inevitable.  i yust wish someone w/more technical expertise than myself had
SERIOUSLY tried to warn him about doing this in a stock-bodied pantera.  so much
for 20-20 hindsight.

doug & i had a little off-digest conversation about his anti-japanese comments.
i saved 'em.  my last one basically sums up my feelings about what was gonna
happen on d-mann's 220mph run.  when we never heard from him last week, i was
gonna email him direct, but i was afraid...  i knew why we dint hear from him.
as i told him, i wanted to hear about his run from HIM.  it was not to be... :<(
i hope we all learn from this - don't let his death be for naught.

i must admit i did get a chuckle in the post that started it all - "But what
