>From an enlighten individual....sounds reasonable....but FWIW:
15 over is reckless. At that point the officer has desecration to lift your
license and substitute jail for citation. Somewhere around 90 or 100 jail
becomes preferred method but again not mandatory. I know a guy cited for
140 that went home with the ticket.
Speed Costs are Mandatory min $50s+($5xmph over limit [to 10 mph
over])+($10xmph over limit)+county fee cost. Reckless etc. is tacked on.
A Pantera Example
Tagged at 140mph in a 65: Fine= $50+$ 50(5x10)+$650(10x65)+750(county
collection and processing fee)= $1500
If you are in a car pool lane on the Golden Gate Bridge Add 2x300(car pool
doubled for special enforcement zone)+ 2x 300 for county cost+ another 2x
200+ 2x200 for the county's trouble for the lower speed limit(45)= $3500.
