Mad Dog,

Larry Stock of PPC is shipping me a set of 18" wheel and Goodyear
Fiorena F1 Eagle tires this Friday. I'll post you on how they work
out, and get photos to the guy you suggested so they can be viewed on
the web.

In the meantime, I would appreciate your wisdom on something odd I
have discovered.

When measuring the fender dimensions (distance between two plumb lines
dropped from the outide of the framerail and the apex of the rear
fender well), I noticed that the outermost rear fender well on the
passenger's side protrudes 15/16" of an inch further than that of the
drivers side.

I thought at first that this might be due to some poor body work that
might have been done by a previous owner's bodyshop, so I compared my
72 with my 71.

They both have the identical difference!

Have you heard of this before? Were the original jigs for the Pantera
that far off? I have heard that the original Cobras had much bigger
jig inaccuracies.
