All,

Boy you guys are GRUMPY! As an outsider(newbie), I realize I don't have the full
picture. But it would seem to be two distinct, separate classes forming:
Ones that enjoy track time and ones that enjoy social time. About everything
everyone is fighting about stems from this issue. POCA could decide to support
one of these themes more than the other (It seems the POCA board is favoring
social time) and force a group split. One where a POCA racing group formed
separate to POCA.

This would result in two smaller clubs. And would (in my opinion) hasten the
demise of both. OR we could firmly (with less screaming) voice our opinion
that we would like for POCA to support our racing efforts more, while we
understand others desire a more leisurely time with their exotics. A club can
support both, there will always be time of leaning toward one more than the
other. Democracy is (and forever will be) a constant struggle. If us performance
minded individuals don't feel properly represented, then stop whining and do
something. Make these feeling known to the board (politely!). And if we feel
that is not satisfactory then support a candidate that more appropriately
represents our feelings.

I'm starting to feel like I'd like to see a SEPARATE forum for "POCA politics"
;-)
