last week someone asked the question (sorry, deleted the original) about going to a new intake and a Holley 700 double-pumper, opinion was that they weren't going to gain anything, and if anything might even lose a little bit. OK, so far so good. Taking that a step further, what else would need to be modified to gain? What is the limiting factor at that point? I thought a post about 6 months ago said that the intake, for example, was one of the contraining bottlenecks in developing power - one reason why so many people have gone to the aftermarket. 

Or let me ask it another way. If one had, say $500-750 to spend to upgrade a stock 351C, where would they get the most bang for their buck? Or what would you really have to spend before you noticed any significant improvement? Where's the first place to start?
