Turned 40 last month, just couldn't resist buying a new toy, it had to be a
Pantera, found it, bought it-done deal..Joined POCA, have enjoyed the E-mail
chatter, except the politix, guess I'll be a newbie. How long does that last
anyway and can you advance any faster if you have other toys allready
(XKE,TR6,914-2.0,LEX) Will appreciate all responses to my newbie Questions!
The Car- Black,Black,Black, full flares, gull-wing. 1973 (THPNMTO5051)
So, its #5051 right.
Its been sittin up for about 7 yrs, here comes the bad stuff..will I be
banished, hung to dry and the like if I admit that previous owner or before
converted it to 350Chev. The motor is out and being gone all the way through by
the "best" the mechanics are very excited about working on this machine and
just love it in there "showroom".
Questions: Can someone do that fancy title search and tell me anything about
this car.
Is it a GT5, GTS, GT or an L with flares and a chevy motor.?
What about parts..need full set of bushings/bearings, really want to secure
suspension, its all original, also want to clean up the "look" from behind, A
frames and that sort.
What about this chevy thing..should I just bight the bullet and put a ford back
in it and my life will be alot easier, there concerned about the equipment
attached to the motor, A/C comp. Alt, belts not fitting in the space provided
without major adaption? anybody ever done this or is it just a bad idea, I'm
man enough to admit that fords are not my favorite motors, so I was kinda happy
but you can go to far and I am concerned about maintaining the car's
History/Integrity and of course the "Fleet".
How's about it, anyone care to chime in and give me the skinney.
Much Appreciated.
