Nice "little" story Dave. I am impressed. You stuck with it. You made it
all the way, had fun and made it back. Congratulations on your wins and
your success at getting the car done. I saw you pretty much had your hands
full, so I didn't try and pick your brains about EFI too much. Your
perseverence in getting to and from the event is a model for others to
follow. A little problem here, or there, is nothing that can not be
overcome. Good job.

Now, for the rest. Dave brought up an interesting point, about the parking
lot on arrival day. Hmmmm, I hate it when my brain starts working. I was
thinking the same thing, not enough folks in the parking lot, talking about
cars, shooting the breeze, letting newbies like me stand around and ask
questions. Okay, so I says to myself "self, what we need is a small event
in the parking lot, like maybe a tailgate party, BBQ kind of thing."

Hey Kent, are you reading this? What would it take for ME to put together
a tailgater for the arrival day, say from noon to 5pm? You heard right,
I'll sponsor it and everything if I simply know it's okay with the hotel to
do it in their parking lot for that time frame on that day. I'LL put this
thing together, I'LL get interested parties together, and I'LL do the work.
I just need to know from Kent if this is okay. I hope I don't have to
start a chapter to do it though, that could be tricky.

I want to get involved, I want to help out, and I think this is a simple
social event that folks might enjoy. Any comments?

Asa Jay
