Hey Kent, are you reading this? What would it take for ME to put
together
a tailgater for the arrival day, say from noon to 5pm? You heard right,
I'll sponsor it and everything if I simply know it's okay with the hotel
to
do it in their parking lot for that time frame on that day. I'LL put
this
thing together, I'LL get interested parties together, and I'LL do the
work.
I just need to know from Kent if this is okay. I hope I don't have to
start a chapter to do it though, that could be tricky.
I want to get involved, I want to help out, and I think this is a simple
social event that folks might enjoy. Any comments?
>>>Now this is EXACTLY the type of positive attitude we need to see
around here! Three cheers for Asa Jay for identifying a possible Good
Idea and then having the testicular fortitude to actually try to make it
happen! I don't think you'll have any problems pulling this off; the
parking lot is private property so the cops can't complain about open
containers (I don't think, I'm not an expert.) I presume that some of
the plastic containers filled with ice and drinks could be hauled down
to the parking lot, turning one corner of the lot into the Hospitality
Suite annex. Somebody would have to patrol it to keep the Greyhound
crowd out, but that shouldn't be a problem, right?
Mike
